The former articles editor for Charlotte magazine, she spent seven years as a staff writer for Village Voice Media newspapers, where she profiled a neo-Nazi and exposed a corrupt chain of charter schools run by Joe Biden’s brother. Before that, she covered city government and public housing for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. She now specializes in stories about social justice and women’s health.
